KENOSHA, Wis. — The Naughty and Nice List returns with another round of names submitted by readers across Kenosha County. As always, these entries reflect community sentiment — who people believe is doing real good, and who people believe is doing real harm. Some names earned praise. Others earned coal. Here is today’s list.

Naughty

• Superintendent Jeff Weiss
  More than 25 percent of students did not report to school on Tuesday after Superintendent Jeff Weiss mishandled a serious school shooting threat. Parents and students were misled, preparation was lacking, and basic logic was absent from the decision-making process. When one in four students stays home out of fear, canceling school should have been on the table. Nothing bad ultimately happened — but if it had, Weiss likely would never work in public education again. Politics needs to be removed from decisions involving student safety.
• KTEC Principal Kere Feuker and CEO Angela Andersson
  These two administrators misled students, teachers, and parents by emailing the KTEC community and stating there was no credible threat to the school. Andersson later went on television thanking the FBI and the Kenosha Police Department for preventing a mass killing, directly contradicting that message. The contradiction is alarming. Playing games with school safety — especially when children are involved — is unacceptable.
• KUSD School Board
• The school board, made up of 6 out of 7 Democrats, sure showed us! We voted down the referendum, so they raised taxes 20%. It’s not monopoly money, Mary Modder. It’s hard earned tax dollars you are spending. How someone of her little I telligence and integrity can get elected to the school board, let alone its president is embarrassing for our community. She’s about as sharp as Biden on LSD.
• Sheriff David W. Zoerner (Again)
  Sheriff Zoerner is back on the Naughty List for making up laws and acting as if he is above the law. He recently blocked access to police reports made by Judge Chad Kerkman, asserting that when judges file police reports, the public cannot see them. This appears designed to protect his unusually close friend, County Executive Samantha Kerkman, and her ex-husband, Judge Chad Kerkman. Despite their divorce and public animosity, the alliance to protect careers remains. It is bad conduct and sets a terrible example for their children.
• Chad Kerkman (Again)
  Kenosha County Eye made a public records request to Judge Chad Kerkman seeking records related to his termination of West Jacobs, a beloved West End bailiff. Kerkman lied and claimed Jacobs was a court commissioner and that disciplinary matters are not public records. He is either stupid if he believes that, or committing misconduct by saying something he knows is false. Kerkman thinks he is above the law, just like Hannah Dugan. He is attempting to conceal records that will show he fired a bailiff simply for agreeing with or sharing stories from this publication. This is not just wrong — it is narcissistic behavior with little man syndrome, and the court will sort it out.
• Assistant District Attorney Tricia Riley
  ADA Tricia Riley is a juvenile prosecutor who appears unable to grasp basic law. This publication is legally allowed to publish the names and likenesses of juveniles who commit serious crimes. Her repeated threats to have Kenosha County Eye imprisoned or charged are erratic and alarming. She has had courtroom outbursts, including one that contributed to a respected court commissioner retiring early. Riley believes violent juveniles should receive little to no punishment, prioritizing ideology over public safety. Former DA Mike Gravely rarely wrote up prosecutors — Riley was the only one he ever did. That says everything. Coal earned.

Nice

• Kenosha Police Chief Patrick Patton
  Chief Patton was nominated by several members of the Kenosha Police Department. Though relatively new as chief, he has demonstrated strong leadership, transparency with the media, and a clear vision for continuing to strengthen the department. He is a family man who deeply cares about Kenosha and served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. By most accounts, he is doing a phenomenal job.
• Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis (Again)
  For years, Andy “Sergeant Hard” Berg evaded accountability. That stopped with DA Solis. Under his leadership, Berg now faces serious felony charges, including alleged embezzlement of thousands from a nonprofit charity that funded a lifestyle involving drugs, kink parties, and other disgusting behavior. The buck finally stopped. Santa is definitely visiting DA Solis this Christmas.
• Salem Lakes Area Business Owner Brian Filiatreault
  Brian Filiatreault lives on the west side of Kenosha County and consistently gives back to his community. He volunteers generously, supports local organizations, and serves on government advisory committees. He recently proposed the Road Consortium initiative, aimed at building west-end roads more affordably through grants and shared services. Once implemented, residents can expect meaningful infrastructure improvements.
• KUSD Musical Youth
  The 51st Annual Madrigal Festival Feast wrapped up this weekend at Tremper High School. From the jesters and lords’ ladies to the Madrigal singers, students delivered outstanding performances. The food, catered by Sophisticatering, was excellent, and the event once again showcased the talent and dedication of Kenosha’s youth. After more than half a century, the tradition continues to shine — and our young artists deserve recognition.
