PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. — Police were called to Prairie Lane Elementary School to investigate alleged theft and embezzlement from the Parent-Teacher Organization on the same day Jan Herman, 42, the former PTO president, saw law enforcement respond to the complaint as her husband, Nicholas Herman, 39, appeared in court and pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated, third offense, according to police and court records.

Unfortunately, this happens a lot. Some people, should not be allowed to handle money alone. Always,should have more eyes on the checks and balances.
My question is if they knew about this…..why did it take them 2 months minimum to report this to the police?

Maybe they should look into the Girl Scout troop not just PTO.. Girl Scout troop went on a camping trip but not the whole troop, only the “moms” and their daughters, posted it on Facebook, then took it down because they got caught!! Coincidence? All the same mom click as Herman 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

Jesus wasn’t telling us that it was OK to steal thousands of dollars (allegedly) from children. He said don’t judge. Writing the news or pointing out bad behavior isn’t violating Christ’s teachings here in my opinion.

Jan Herman organized and handled payments for a T-shirt fundraiser for a student with cancer on the Tremper soccer team. Allegedly, the kid never received any of the proceeds—really sad to hear.

True story. I am the mom of that kid. The fundraiser was organized by her (which started off as a kind gesture) using my son’s name with the understanding that the proceeds would help with his cancer-related medical expenses. Our family has not received any of the funds raised. It is deeply upsetting that our son’s devastating illness was used in a way that did not benefit him.
