KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha father says his trust in the school system was shaken after learning that a school administrator took his 11-year-old daughter off campus and drove her home in a personal vehicle without parental permission — despite what he says were other available options and no emergency requiring immediate action.

    1. Dennis C Jantzen… speaking of Americlowns. You’re the ring leader who left his children behind and moved to another country. Dead beat POS!

    2. hey so this man is the sweetest most considerate person ever. if the parent wasn’t a pos lowlife and made efforts to get his kids and communicated with the staff about being late it would’ve have happened

  1. Early in the school year my child got on the wrong bus. She ended up at the wrong school. Staff brought her to her elementary school. I didn’t complain. I called and said thanks to the staff. Maybe they should have called social services.

    1. And that is the crux of the issue! The school should have exhausted the emergency contacts first before the principal took her home

  2. Years ago, I was a young adult. It was very cold outside. I was walking in the snow to go to Carthage College. I had no car. Mayor Belotti asked me if I wanted a ride to the college. I was really appreciative and never forgot it. It is a shame that the 11 year old kid was left and the parents were not appreciative. Things were better years ago. I am 62 now and I know that is what old people used to say to me but now I believe it.

    1. U were in college. Not an 11year old. U knew the mayor. 11year likely wouldn’t.

You were taken to a place of your choice

    2. Key word college & you choose to jump in the car with a man. Children can’t be trustworthy like you. Bad staff are out there no different than the staff that has already been reported on grooming & etc. I’ll say it again did this school have no NO FEMALE STAFF ????????

    3. KUSD is a cesspool. Things are much different now. You have pedophiles running rampant everywhere. You have drag queen story time, you have boys on girls sports and going in the girls bathroom. It’s a disgrace and it’s sickening. Arkham Asylum has been released upon us.

  3. Yall are beginning to understand why this school district has more lawsuits against them. And the cities leadership and PD is enabling them to umpteenth degree.

    5
    6
  4. LETS START IT OFF WITH THIS

ANY STAFF MEMBER IN A SCHOOL BUILDING KNOWS THIS IS WRONG. YOU DO NOT EVER REMOVE A CHILD FROM A SCHOOL WITHOUT CONSENT OR EVEN ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT A PARENT/GUARDIAN ESPECIALLY IN A PERSONAL VEHICLE WITHOUT HAVING ANY REAL EXCUSE OF WHY HE FELT THIS WAS NECESSARY.

The day of this incident the child (11 year old female student) was instructed by parents to patiently wait in the office or hallway outside of the office room (inside of the school) until we get there which she did. This was not a incident where the child was forgotten or neglected the temperatures were very cold that day which is why the child waited in the building again not outside freezing

Unfortunately the child’s cellphone was broken at the time so she tried to use the office phone to contact mom which was unsuccessful due to the fact she was not given a proper explanation on how to work the phone in the office. She then notifies to the staff member in the office that she could not get ahold of a parent after multiple attempts because the phone isn’t ringing or working properly that being said there is 6 emergency contacts listed that someone could have taken two seconds to assist her offering to help but no one helped which is a whole other argument.

The child then waits in the office after multiple failed attempts to reach mom knowing she’s on the way but still wanted to make a phone call for reassurance. The assistant principal MICHAEL MAKOWKA notices the child waiting in the office then had a conversation regarding if she is getting picked up or not. The child CLEARLY STATES SOMEONE IS ON THE WAY IM JUST WAITING. He then takes the time to show the (11 year old female student) a picture of his own child to make her feel comfortable gaining her trust before offering a ride home in his personal vehicle WITHOUT ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT A PARENT OR TELLING ANYONE IN THE BUILDING THAT HE WAS REMOVING A (11 year old female student) ALONE.

To put this in prospective there was no emergency or reason for this to happen no one was forcing the child out of the building or any distress that she felt that no one was picking her up (she was instructed to wait in the office or hallway until arrival)

AGAIN THERE WAS NO ATTEMPT TO CONTACT A PARENT/GUARDIAN OR NOTIFY OTHER STAFF MEMBERS ABOUT REMOVING A STUDENT IN A PERSONAL VEHICLE

The following morning Friday MICHAEL MAKOWKA contacted a parent pleading his defense stating that his work phone was dead and was in a rush to be somewhere
(Not an excuse for taking a child without permission or consent) there was still multiple options he could’ve taken to avoid this situation such as using his personal cell phone to contact a parent from the emergency contact list instead of taking the time to show a picture of his own child to make the student feel comfortable before offering a ride.

This is completely against policy and very unprofessional for someone who has been in the school system for 22 years. This situation needs to be taken more seriously to ensure this doesn’t happen ever again unless there is a real emergency in this case there was none whatsoever.

Mind you if there was an actual attempt to contact a parent or guardian before taking a child this would be a whole different situation all it takes is a phone call

    15
    17
    1. By police of the person who “took” the child.
For all the reasons and explanations above this was a CRIME !
It needs to be treated as such and the parents need to file charges at the least and a personal lawsuit at the most.

      5
      5
    2. If I remember correctly in school you have to dial 9 then the number. Of course kids don’t know how to use the office phone. They all have cell phones! The fact no one told the child this after she said the phone isn’t ringing, that would be the schools way of protecting a child in the cold. As staff I’d be concerned if the mom was ok myself! The principal didn’t call cause his motives are unclear. Showing pictures is no different than one day saying..hi you remember my daughter I showed you the picture of she’d like to meet you & then the child never to be found again.

      3
      1
    3. I don’t like that the staff member took the kid home, but this detailed of a story by a 11 year old? This sounds more and more like the parents forgot to pick up the kid and the principal was trying to not see the kid walk in the cold. By no means am I saying what the principal did was justified, but the parents are not without fault. Plus, as a KUSD parent, 6 emergency contacts seems like a fabrication.

Kevin, please post the police report and let’s get some more details.

      8
      1
  5. Why didn’t the mom call the school explaining she would be late?
WHY would a teacher approach a student and show personal pictures?
Why would the (school office, LAZY) not contact emergency contacts IN THE FILE, so they could shake their ass home right away? FAILED POLICY
Why is God’s name would a teacher remove a child off property and tell NO ONE.
    FAILED POLICY
These teachers and school staff screaming in the comments about, this poor child, freezing temps, it takes a village and these worthless parents… GMAFB!!!
KUSD and the surrounding areas have had a SLEW of inappropriate behavior/grooming by TEACHERS and WORSE!
Save me the outrage, your likeness caused all this mistrust!

    3
    3
    1. Some of this “insights” on the story seem… off. I can’t help but think school got done at like 3:30pm (I don’t know the actual time it gets out), and at 4:15pm this kid is waiting at school, no parent in sight. I don’t buy that the office didn’t dial the phone for the kid. The parents didn’t show up or answer so the principal made a decision, which was a bad judgement, by giving the kid a ride.
