KENOSHA, Wis. — A 45-year-old homeless man accused of threatening a gas station employee with a knife, ranting about aliens, and resisting police during a chaotic confrontation was charged in court Tuesday and given a $5,000 cash bail by Court Commissioner William Michel II, after his defense attorney raised concerns about his mental competency.
