BRISTOL, Wis. — Brenden Thomas Wittkamp, 24, of Ingleside, Illinois, posted $10,000 cash bail on February 16, 2026 after Court Commissioner William Michel II had previously issued a $10,000 arrest warrant at the request of the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office. Wittkamp is due back in court on February 25, 2026 for his initial appearance.

A mistake in the heat of the moment? In the article, he’s described as driving a truck into someone MULTIPLE times, punching, kicking, and strangling them, all while yelling racial slurs. I think that’s more “mistakes” than I have fingers and toes to count, and I’m not sure I’d consider any single one of those actions minor enough to be a mistake. Assaulting someone is a crime.
