KENOSHA, Wis. — Former Indian Trail High School and Academy employee Michael B. Russell, 61, of Hainesville, Illinois, pleaded guilty this week to two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, while a felony charge alleging sexual assault of a student will be dismissed if he complies with the terms of a two-year hold-open agreement approved by Judge Heather Iverson. According to a law enforcement insider, the victim in the criminal case from Kenosha County didn't want to relive the trauma in open court. That is reportedly the reason for the plea. Either way, Russell will have a conviction for sexual assault.

Shame on KUSD for not doing a background check on this teacher before hiring him! Our schools are filled with sexual predators! So sick of hearing about teachers like this guy working in our schools!
So, with DV cases the state can file charges without the spouse cooperating. But a sick sex offender can essentially walk away free because the victim doesn’t want to relive the trauma in court? You have got to be kidding me. Her initial statement should be good enough to prosecute to fullest extent of the law. No excuse Kenosha DA, do better!
ITA principal did little to protect the girls. There was a sign outside the perverts door that no kids allowed alone in the room. No one kept an eye on the guy. Principal also hindered KPD detectives in the investigation.
Hang these pedo protecting judges too!

It is a proven fact that sex offenders cannot be rehabilitated. It simply cannot happen and for the courts to believe that this effing pervert is going to comply for 2 years? What a joke, and a sick one at that! How disgusting!
I voted for Iverson because I had heard that she was a conservative. That apparently is not the case.

From what I understand, she fully knew about the serious allegations this pedo was facing at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in North Chicago prior to advocating for his hiring by KUSD. The case completely vanished, could this possibly be related?

Tamara Coleman should be held accountable too she knew he had a civil lawsuit regarding sexual assault but chose to protect him and not the child.
Michael Russell wife was a social worker for Catholic charities and DCFS in the 90’s, why didn’t she see the signs and protect the child at her Fathers church too. That whole family is full of sickos including the Pastor! God sits high and he looks low, no one gets away with anything including the day of reckoning will come!
