KENOSHA, Wis. — The Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce has launched a new artificial intelligence-powered website assistant called “Kenny” to help residents more easily discover local businesses, Chamber resources and member organizations.
Kenny is available through the Chamber’s website and is designed to help users search the Chamber’s online member directory. The tool can guide visitors toward Chamber member businesses, services and organizations based on what they are looking for.
According to the Chamber, Kenny can also answer common questions about the organization, direct users to Chamber programs and events, and help visitors navigate the website more quickly.
“The member directory is one of the most useful resources we offer, and Kenny helps make it even easier for people to use,” Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dave Strash said. “It gives the community another way to discover local Chamber businesses and make connections right here in Kenosha.”
The Chamber said the new assistant is trained using information from its website and member directory, allowing it to help connect people with local Chamber member businesses.
“The launch reflects the Chamber’s continued focus on strengthening connections between the local business community and the people it serves,” the Chamber said in a statement.
Strash said the goal is to help increase visibility for Chamber members while encouraging residents to support local businesses.
“Kenny is a tool that helps connect people with businesses that are invested in this community,” Strash said. “When people use the Chamber directory, they are finding businesses that have chosen to be part of and support Kenosha.”
The AI assistant was developed in partnership with Southport AI & Automation, which focuses on practical AI solutions for businesses.
The Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 110 years of service this year and remains an independent, membership-based organization focused on supporting local businesses through networking, visibility and community engagement.
