KENOSHA, Wis. — Organizers are calling on community groups, businesses, and performers to sign up for one of the city’s most anticipated summer traditions, as applications for the 2026 Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade are now open and due by May 29.
The annual parade, presented by Snap-on, is scheduled for June 28 and will feature the theme “United States Celebrates 250 Years,” highlighting a patriotic milestone for the nation.
Dance groups, marching bands, and a wide range of community organizations are encouraged to participate. Businesses and organizations can also enter decorated floats, which will be judged on categories including Most Patriotic, Hometown Pride, Superior Craftsmanship, and Best Use of Theme.
Float judging will take place before the parade in the staging area, with winners announced during the event at the announcer’s booth in Navy Memorial Park, located in the 5200 block of Sixth Avenue.
The parade will begin at 1 p.m., traveling south along Seventh Avenue to Sixth Avenue downtown, and ending on the west side of Library Park.
A community bike ride will again be part of the festivities, open to participants of all ages. Riders must be able to complete a two-mile route without stopping and keep pace with the group. Bike riders are not required to submit a parade application and should gather between noon and 12:30 p.m. at Seventh Avenue and Washington Road.
Applications are available on the City of Kenosha’s website or by contacting parade organizer Kris Kochman in the Mayor’s Office. The official parade lineup is expected to be announced in mid-June.
