KENOSHA, Wis. — A major crash scene that shut down an area near 60th Street and 20th Avenue Sunday escalated into a fatal investigation after a motorcycle rider was killed and a 66-year-old Kenosha man was taken into custody on suspicion of intoxicated driving offenses.

So the buyers wanted to renegotiate the price after the contract signing, and then they wanted their earnest money back? On what basis? Something’s not adding up here.
No, if you read paragraph four it says “The plaintiffs claim they became uncomfortable with how the transaction was being handled and further allege that Ferraro pushed for a significantly larger transfer of funds for the purchase. According to the complaint, the buyers’ financial institution declined to send approximately $439,000 to complete the transaction, after which the couple could not proceed with the deal.” The financial institution is there to look out for the buyers and of course themselves. It definitely sounds like the realtor was taking advantage of the situation hoping she could push for more money, possibly because they were senior citizens. If that was the case, shame on her!

Something isn’t adding up. Did they have their own realtor? Did they sign a contract when they made the offer? Just based on reading this it seems like they made an offer, she accepted, they put down the earnest money, and then they couldn’t get approved for the amount they offered, tried to negotiate, she said no, so they want their earnest money back. I thought that was the whole point of the earnest money?
