Is this the Station they want to close ?
Where will the helicopter pad move to if they close this station ?
They dont need a helipad to land. They have used fields, roadways and parking lots.
Helicopter pads play a key role in keeping patients and staff safe. Thinking it’s okay to remove one ignores the many off-site helicopter accidents that have occurred. In short, helipads help protect everyone by preventing one accident from leading to another. It’s eye-opening to see how many medivacs have been in accidents during off-site landings. These landings are especially risky at night, while designated helipads greatly increase safety.
When Fire Stations are planned and built they typically think 50 years out. Wheatland is one example.
Trevor is another.
When this Station # 2 was built why was it built here if just 20 years later they decide it isn’t in the right place.
Will a new one a few miles away be better located ?
Will a few miles make a difference ?
What are the 50 year plans they are looking at now that they didn’t look at 20 years ago ?
We are talking $millions of dollars here !
This combined Fire Department plan doesn’t seem to take these things into account.
Motorcycles + speed = this result.
They hit a pot hole and gravel and went down. Cars have had issues with this same pot hole. Know facts before commenting.
So it’s the pot hole’s fault..
or maybe he’s saying it wasn’t due to speed, quit trolling or at least be funny while doing it.
Those are your “facts”.
They hit a pot hole and loose gravel going at least 55 mph, there are no warning signs. The driver did nothing wrong. Think before you speak!
Prayers for the rider.
Knee dragging cafe style maybe?
One knows that the minute you straddle a motorcycle and take off, your ability to avoid serious injury and or death is greatly reduced. Especially with the way some four wheel vehicles drive on the road.
Some of the drivers on two wheels aren’t the best at driving either!!! It’s not always the cars fault ( may seem like it is, but what lead up to the accident, I’ve had plenty of motorcycles blow by me and cut people off, I get it two wheels go fast but don’t protect you very well…people in general can’t drive then you have the ones who are on there phones. But again there are plenty of motorcycles who should flip the saying around “ car beware motorcycles are everywhere” to “motorcycles beware there’s cars everywhere” shouldn’t we always be aware of our surroundings no matter what we are driving? Prayers to all involved my heart goes out to them!
When I see someone on a motorcycle this time of year I always ask myswill they be here in the fall, no pun intended…
Your troll doesn’t work.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
