CLINTON, Wis. — Republican State Senate candidate Ellen Schutt has secured the endorsement of Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin, adding another prominent conservative organization to her growing list of supporters as she campaigns for the State Senate.
The endorsement was announced Monday as part of AFP-Wisconsin’s first round of legislative endorsements for the 2026 election cycle. The organization said it is supporting candidates it believes will advance conservative priorities, protect taxpayers, and promote economic opportunity.
Schutt, a former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, said she was honored to receive the backing of the influential grassroots organization.
“Americans for Prosperity has been one of the leading voices for limited government, lower taxes, and economic freedom in Wisconsin,” Schutt said in a statement. “Families across our district are working hard to make ends meet, and they deserve leaders who will fight for affordability, government accountability, and policies that create opportunity instead of more bureaucracy.”
The endorsement comes after Schutt previously earned the support of Turning Point Action, a conservative political organization. Her campaign said the endorsements demonstrate growing support among conservative activists and organizations.
According to the announcement, Schutt’s legislative record includes opposition to proposals she argued would have increased energy costs for Wisconsin families. Her campaign highlighted her willingness to challenge what it described as Madison insiders and special interests during her time in the Assembly.
Schutt is seeking election to the State Senate in one of Wisconsin’s closely watched legislative contests heading into the 2026 election cycle.
