Felony Victim Intimidation: Kenosha Man Accused of Punching Pregnant Girlfriend, Taking Phone During 911 Call

KENOSHA, Wis. — Jermiah J. Bennett, 19, of Kenosha, was charged Wednesday with felony intimidation of a victim and several misdemeanor offenses after police say he punched his pregnant girlfriend, took her phone while she attempted to call 911, and resisted arrest. During his initial appearance Wednesday afternoon, Supplemental Court Commissioner Michael "No Money" Masnica set a $500 cash bond despite prosecutors requesting $1,000 cash and despite the alleged victim personally addressing the court regarding bond concerns.
