Racing begins at 11:45 a.m. and continues throughout the day, featuring categories for novice riders, masters competitors, women’s professional racers, and men’s professional racers. The evening concludes with an “Anything on Wheels” event from 6:40 p.m. to 7 p.m., allowing participants to take part using strollers, wagons, scooters, and other non-motorized wheeled devices.

The event will be held at Library Park, located near 8th Avenue and 60th Street. Racing and festivities run from 11 a.m. until approximately 9 p.m.

Organizers are also seeking volunteers to assist on race day.

The Velo City Classic is sponsored by local cycling organizations and supporters, including Kenosha Velosport Cycling and Great Lakes Cycling, and serves as one of Kenosha’s signature summer sporting events.

Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, enjoy the downtown atmosphere, and take advantage of the opportunity to watch professional cycling while participating in free family activities throughout the day.
