KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha man who was already free on a no-cash bail in another criminal case is now charged with pointing a firearm at another (domestic abuse), disorderly conduct while using a dangerous weapon (domestic abuse), misdemeanor battery (domestic abuse), disorderly conduct (domestic abuse), and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping after prosecutors say he threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend before killing himself, later battered the woman during a second confrontation, and committed the new offenses while out on release.
At Tuesday's initial appearance, Deputy District Attorney Rosa Delgado requested that Michael J. Brehmer be released on another no-cash bail, despite prosecutors alleging he committed these offenses while already free on a previously-set no-cash bail in a 2025 Kenosha County case. Defense attorney Joseph Corcoran and the alleged victim also asked the court to release him on a no-cash bail. Liberal Activist Supplemental Court Commissioner Tracey "Low-Bail" Braun instead ordered the 44-year-old held on a $500 cash bail and imposed a no-contact order with the alleged victim.
