KENOSHA, Wis. — The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office responded to 345 calls for service during the 2026 Country Thunder music festival, resulting in 32 criminal arrests or criminal charges and 310 county traffic and ordinance citations, according to figures released Friday.
The figures provide an early snapshot of law enforcement activity during the four-day event, but they are not expected to represent the festival’s final crime totals. In previous years, many reported sexual assaults have not been disclosed until days or weeks after the festival concludes as investigations continue and victims come forward.
Among the 32 criminal arrests and charges were five counts of disorderly conduct, five counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, two misdemeanor bail jumping cases, two battery cases, one domestic violence battery, one battery to a law enforcement officer, one carrying a concealed weapon charge, two child abuse cases, one escape, one hit-and-run involving an unattended vehicle, one strangulation and suffocation case, and two underage drinking violations involving people ages 17 to 20.
Deputies also issued 310 county traffic and ordinance citations throughout the four-day festival. The most common citation was underage alcohol violations involving people ages 17 to 20, accounting for 212 citations. Other frequently issued citations included resisting or obstructing an officer (26), trespassing (13), lewd and lascivious behavior (11), disorderly conduct (10), possession of marijuana (10), and underage tobacco violations (8).
Additional citations were issued for fake identification, fraud on an innkeeper, theft, property damage, reckless driving, hit-and-run, battery, and other ordinance violations.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office thanked the numerous law enforcement agencies and Country Thunder staff who helped make the 2026 festival a safe and successful event.
