Man Accused of Possessing Child Pornography Held on $75,000 Cash Bail After Investigators Say He Secretly Photographed Juvenile Girls at Beach

KENOSHA, Wis. — Mibsam Daniel Medrano-Cruz, 22, was ordered held on a $75,000 cash bail Monday by Court Commissioner Daniel E. Kellum after being charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography, a Class D felony. Prosecutors allege Medrano-Cruz possessed a video depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct and that investigators also found photographs they believe he secretly took of juvenile girls in swimsuits at a beach. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison, a $100,000 fine, a mandatory minimum of three years of initial confinement, and a $500 surcharge for each image associated with the offense.
