KENOSHA, Wis. — Kenosha County Court Commissioner Daniel E. Kellum had an embarrassing case of déjà vu Friday when Brittany E. Hyde, 33, of Salem Lakes, appeared before him for the second time in barely two days. Kellum released Hyde Wednesday on no-cash bail in a domestic-abuse case, ordering her not to drink alcohol, use drugs or commit new crimes. Hours later, Hyde was arrested again and allegedly registered a staggering .304 BAC — nearly four times the standard .08 legal driving limit — while accused of committing another domestic-abuse offense and violating the very conditions Kellum had just imposed. With egg on his face over the remarkably quick alleged reoffending, Kellum responded Friday by setting cash bail at just $750.
