Kenosha Man Charged With Felony After Allegedly Fracturing Woman’s Wrist And Tearing Tendon In Tavern Altercation

KENOSHA, Wis. — A 48-year-old Kenosha man has been charged with a felony after an altercation inside a Kenosha tavern allegedly left a woman with a fractured wrist and multiple serious injuries to her shoulder, elbow and tendons. Robert J. Lobacz, 48, of Kenosha, was charged Friday, Aug. 21, with one count of substantial battery, a Class I felony carrying a maximum sentence of 3½ years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The alleged altercation occurred Aug. 4, 2025, at Cheers Tavern, 4619 Eighth Ave.

  3. I have zero information regarding this, but when I see the booking photo of an average guy who doesn’t “look crazy or deranged”. I wonder, who initiated the altercation? Did one person invade another’s personal space first? If the person first invading the others personal space would have just walked away, would the police have even been called?
    Decisions. Life is about decisions. I know it’s human nature to want to meet the person on their level and show them that you’re not afraid of them, or they won’t intimidate you; but is an argument really gonna bring them to taking your point of view? (It’s not)
