SALEM LAKES, Wis. — Brandon Wayne Smith, 25, of Salem Lakes, is charged with disorderly conduct as an act of domestic abuse and contact after a domestic abuse arrest after prosecutors say he returned near the home of a woman protected by a mandatory 72-hour contact prohibition only hours after being released from jail. Deputies allegedly found Smith hiding in bushes near the residence early Thursday morning. Smith was scheduled to make his initial appearance Friday afternoon before Supplemental Court Commissioner Daniel E. Kellum, but he failed to appear. Kellum authorized a warrant for Smith’s arrest and set cash bail at $500, ordering that Smith must post the bail or be held for court. Court records also indicate previously posted cash bail was forfeited.
