KENOSHA, Wis. — Residents of the Allendale neighborhood may have been surprised Friday when officers with the Kenosha Police Department's Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Third Avenue. What began as a complaint about marijuana plants growing in a backyard turned into a major drug investigation involving nearly 5.3 pounds of marijuana, 19 marijuana plants, two shotguns, body armor and suspected psychedelic mushrooms. The homeowner, Timothy Robert Barden, 54, of Kenosha, is now facing six felony charges and one misdemeanor, carrying a combined maximum of more than 25 years in prison if convicted on all counts and sentenced consecutively. On Monday, October 12, 2026, Kenosha County Court Commissioner Daniel E. Kellum set Barden's bail at $25,000 cash.

His mother must be rolling in her grave. This is what you did with her beautiful home. It’s all pretty depressing, they were such a good family and the kids had so much potential.
How dare you grow plants that are legal in 45 states
