KENOSHA, Wis. — A 46-year-old Trevor man convicted of his fourth drunk-driving offense was sentenced Wednesday, October 14, 2026, to six months in the Kenosha County Jail followed by six months of work release after crashing his motorcycle in the Town of Wheatland and asking a passing motorist not to call 911. Joseph M. Freitag appeared before Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge David O. Hughes, who withheld a prison sentence and instead ordered jail time as a condition of 2½ years of probation. Freitag was also ordered to pay $7,249 in fines, fees and surcharges. This is more than Assistant District Attorney Robert Pelegrin requested.
