KENOSHA, Wis. — Rania Fleifel Khoury, 48, of Sturtevant, has been fired from her positions at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and All Saints Catholic School in Kenosha amid an active police investigation into allegations of significant financial misconduct, Kenosha County Eye has learned. Sources familiar with the investigation say Khoury is suspected of embezzling a substantial amount of money, potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars, and that criminal charges are expected. No criminal charges have been confirmed as of publication.

According to a source familiar with the matter, Khoury has retained an attorney and is not speaking with police investigators. The source also indicated that some members of the church congregation have become frustrated over what they perceive as a lack of communication from church leadership regarding the investigation and the allegations. Khoury’s termination from both institutions raises additional questions about what administrators discovered and when they became aware of the suspected financial misconduct.
Khoury had worked at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Kenosha since at least April 2023, according to her publicly available employment history. She also became business manager at All Saints Catholic School in May 2025. She has since been terminated from both positions, although the precise dates of her dismissals have not been established.
The two Catholic institutions have longstanding connections. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is among the Kenosha-area parishes supporting All Saints Catholic School, which was established through a partnership of local Catholic parishes. Father Dwight Campbell, pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, also serves on the All Saints Catholic School board.
Publicly available church information previously identified Khoury as an office manager at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and listed a bookkeeping email address associated with her position. All Saints Catholic School also identified Khoury as a member of its Finance and Human Resources Committee. These overlapping responsibilities raise questions about the extent of her financial authority at each institution, although Kenosha County Eye has not established whether the alleged financial misconduct involves church funds, school funds, or both.
An archived version of the All Saints Catholic School staff directory, preserved by the Internet Archive on April 15, 2026, identifies Khoury as the school’s business manager. Her name has since been removed from the school’s current staff directory. The archived page provides additional documentation of her former employment, although it does not establish when her name was removed or when she was terminated.
In an interesting twist, All Saints Catholic School previously used its official Facebook page to promote a business operated by Khoury’s son, Samir Khoury. In a February 23 post, the school thanked Ultimate Auto Care for becoming an “Elite Sponsor” of its gala, specifically identifying Samir as the son of its business manager. The school praised the company’s attention to detail and commitment to exceeding expectations. There is no indication that Samir or his business is involved in the alleged financial misconduct.
The allegations have reportedly caused concern among some parishioners, particularly regarding whether church leadership was aware of the investigation and why members of the congregation were not informed. It remains unclear when church officials first learned of the allegations, whether an internal financial audit has been conducted, or whether Khoury’s access to financial accounts was restricted before her termination.
The amount of money allegedly involved has not been independently established, although sources indicate the potential losses could reach hundreds of thousands of dollars. The circumstances surrounding Khoury’s termination from both Catholic institutions have not been fully disclosed, and it remains unclear whether the dismissals followed an internal financial review or were directly prompted by the police investigation.
Kenosha County Eye is continuing to investigate the allegations, including the amount of money potentially involved, the financial oversight procedures at both Catholic institutions, and what church and school leadership knew about the suspected misconduct.
This is a developing story.
