Prosecutors Refile Third OWI Charge Against Genoa City Man Who Threatened To Sue Kenosha County Eye Over Original Story — Blood Test Reveals .233 BAC

RANDALL, Wis. — Michael Shawn Guilfoil, 64, of Genoa City, is once again facing criminal drunk driving charges after Kenosha County prosecutors refiled a third-offense OWI charge against him Monday, November 2, 2026. The new charge comes less than two weeks after his previous criminal case was dismissed and just eight days after Guilfoil called Kenosha County Eye, demanding that an article about his original felony OWI charge be removed and threatening a defamation lawsuit. The newly filed criminal complaint reveals that Guilfoil's blood-alcohol concentration was 0.233, nearly three times Wisconsin's standard legal limit of 0.08.
