KENOSHA, Wis. — A 20-year-old Kenosha woman accused of breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s home and repeatedly punching him in the face was arrested Wednesday, November 4, after failing to appear for a court hearing earlier this week. Kaiyla J. Esquivel, 20, of Kenosha, was originally released after posting just $1,000 cash bail despite facing three felony charges, including burglary, battery as a domestic abuse repeater, and disorderly conduct as a domestic abuse repeater. On Tuesday, Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Jodi Meier forfeited Esquivel’s original bail and issued a bench warrant with a significantly higher $15,000 cash bail requirement.
