Kenosha Unified School District Refuses To Identify Somers Elementary Teacher Under Criminal Investigation – Kenosha County Eye Identifies 49-Year-Old Mount Pleasant Man

SOMERS, Wis. — Parents of students at Somers Elementary School are furious with the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) after school officials sent a vague notification Friday morning informing families that an employee was under investigation, without identifying the employee or explaining the nature of the allegations. Kenosha County Eye has learned that the employee is Charles Thomas Basaldua, 49, of Mount Pleasant, a fifth-grade teacher at the school who is under criminal investigation concerning allegations of inappropriate conduct toward students. Basaldua denied any wrongdoing when contacted by Kenosha County Eye Friday, maintaining that he is being falsely accused.
