On February 26, 2024 at 3:50 PM, the Kenosha Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit attempted a traffic stop in the 3500 block of 50th Street on a grey Infinity that had previously fled from police. The driver of the Infinity, Walter J. Brown, Jr, a 26-year-old Waukegan resident, decided to flee instead of stopping.

Brown led the officers to the Paielli’s Bakery parking lot (6020-39th Avenue) where another vehicle was struck while backing out of a parking stall. The occupants of that vehicle were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. Brown, and his passenger, Jamil D. Parker, 25-year-old Zion resident, fled on foot after the accident. Parker was immediately apprehended. Brown was later arrested after police received a 911 call from an area resident indicating that someone ran into their basement.

“We want to thank K9 Fritz from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department for his assistance on this call, ” said Lieutenant Josh Hecker of the Kenosha Police Department. “His barking helped Brown to exit the house and surrender to police. The Kenosha Police Department also wants to the thank the citizen that called to report that Brown was hiding in the basement. This is yet another incident where the police and the community worked together to solve a crime.”

Brown is on probation and has already been convicted of fleeing and eluding officers for a February 18, 2023 chase in Kenosha County. The soft-on-crime Kenosha County DA’s office, with approval of Judge and former prosecutor, Angelina Gabriele, let Brown off with “time served” of just 60 days in jail and two years of probation.

According to Illinois court records, Parker seems to have charges and convictions for firearms violations and drug dealing.

  1. K-9 Fritz was interviewed by The Eye regarding his role: “It was nothing. I was just barking, like I normally do. It’s all part of a day’s work. Resh, resh.”

  2. Wally is so f ing lucky.
If that was my basement he ran into, I would have locked the doors got my gun and they would have been bringing him out in a body bag. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

        1. This is incorrect. You can shoot anybody who comes in your house without permission if you have a reasonable concern for your safety, it doesn’t matter if they are armed or not. Wisconsin has adapted the castle doctrine for coming up on a decade now

          21
          1. As usual, you are correct. Evidence of them having been in possession of any weapon before LE arrived though, would leave no doubt
            as to their ill intent.
            I hope I’m understanding that correctly. 😉

    1. Been the point all along. The people you think are conservatives aren’t except when they say they are to get your vote.

  3. Let’s talk about our low bond court commissioners. Pleasant Prairie just had a chase in which a squad was damaged. $15,000 on one suspect, $5,000 on another. Should have been at least five times that!

  4. Let the scum off with a slap on the wrist, then stick it to the average working man when they mess up to set an example. These people need real punishment then maybe they will think twice. Even when they go to jail the rights the have are ridiculous, bring bad the hard labor. Stop catering to these criminals they learn how to work the system. They look for any reason to sue and the county is scared to get sued, so lets just accommodate. My opinion you lose a lot of your rights the moment you are arrested or proven guilty.

  5. This is some live and local crime right here. Make sure you check back later to KCJ for the “White” law abiding citizen classification.

  6. Yo Mr Goldenstein this reminds me of the time recently I had a Niddler on the Roof —- if it was you playing fiddle I would not call the Po-Po I would put a tip in your hat

  7. We need a frank conversation, folks.

We can’t arrest and prosecute everyone nor put everyone who breaks the law behind bars for the maximum sentence, let alone at all. That’s reality. Get over it.

But there are far too many people who do things that ENDANGER the community that aren’t getting the right attention. This needs to change. If the people running the show can’t figure out the most dangerous criminals they probably don’t belong where they are.

    1. We CAN prosecute and jail them all if we are serious about stopping crime. What we don’t have is the WILL to protect the innocent. Preference is to coddle people based on race. The way to deter crime is to make it very unpleasant to commit crime. Innocent people killed and harmed by repeat offenders, parolees. Illegal immigrants get zero respect from their elected and unelected officials.

  8. Too bad the asshole was afraid of Fritz. Would like to have him take a bite. But then Fritz would have to eat crap to get the taste out of his mouth.

  9. K9-Fritz should have been trained to and released to rip Walter’s testicles off just so he doesn’t reproduce his lawless kind.

  10. There sure is a lot of crime committed by a certain demographic. Oh well never mind about that. Happy Black History Month everyone.
