KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha teenager is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly leading police on a high-speed pursuit through a residential neighborhood and an active school zone while transporting two passengers, including an 11-year-old child.
Isaiah A. Boyle-Cruz, 19, was formally charged Wednesday in Kenosha County Circuit Court with five counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and one count of fleeing or eluding a traffic officer. Court Commissioner William Michel II set cash bail at $20,000.
According to the criminal complaint, the incident began on April 29 when a Kenosha police officer observed a silver Toyota Sienna speeding through the 2600 block of 52nd Street. A radar reading showed the vehicle traveling 49 mph in a 30 mph zone while passing other vehicles. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the driver—later identified as Boyle-Cruz—allegedly accelerated, initiating a pursuit.
The Toyota reportedly reached speeds between 70 and 80 mph in a 25 mph residential zone and blew through a stop sign at 54th Street. Police say Boyle-Cruz continued westbound on 56th Street, reaching speeds of up to 70 mph while driving through an active school zone near Lakeview Technology Academy. Officers called off the chase due to the risk posed to other motorists and pedestrians.
A short time later, other officers located the vehicle near 60th Street and 30th Avenue and successfully initiated a stop in the 2800 block of 60th Street.
Inside the vehicle were two passengers: Boyle-Cruz’s girlfriend and her 11-year-old brother, who was reportedly being driven to school at the time. According to police, the child appeared visibly shaken, and the female passenger was described as crying heavily, stating she was terrified during the incident. Neither passenger sustained physical injuries.
Boyle-Cruz allegedly told officers he fled because he only had an instructional permit and was scared he would get in trouble for driving without it on his person. The vehicle was uninsured and registered to a relative of one of the passengers, police said.
In addition to the felony charges, Boyle-Cruz was issued several traffic citations, including speeding, failure to stop at a stop sign, driving without insurance, and operating without an instructor.
If convicted on all counts, Boyle-Cruz faces up to 62.5 years in prison.
He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on May 7.

Who took the time to read the article you can clearly see that it states that when he was taken into custody, he stated that he fled out of fear he is a 19 year-old boy and even though he is of legal age, he is still a child he is barely becoming an adult nobody knows his medical history if you actually took the time to read the article it clearly states that he didn’t have any weapons, nor drugs in the car he got scared and even though they stopped their pursuit he eventually pulled over and he didn’t try to run when the police approached him so, like I said no one knows his medical history we have a lot of young drivers on the road nowadays and let’s be honest some of these kids fear the police, some more than other since you guys wanna bring up the fact that he is Mexican little do you know his parents and grandparents were born and raised here in Kenosha, that being said if you don’t know the whole situation I wouldn’t be so quick to judge.
