Kenosha Man Hit With New Charges After Posting Bail in Motorcycle Chase Case

KENOSHA, Wis. – A 41-year-old Kenosha man who was already facing felony charges for allegedly fleeing police on a motorcycle has been accused of breaking the terms of his bond just one day after appearing in court.

Sebastian O. Caracciolo was back in court Friday and charged with felony bail jumping. Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered a $1,000 cash bail and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Aug. 19.

According to the new complaint, a Kenosha County sheriff’s deputy stopped Caracciolo on Aug. 14 in Bristol after clocking his red GMC at 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. The deputy reported that Caracciolo admitted his license was suspended and that the vehicle was uninsured. Records confirmed his license suspension.

The charge comes just a day after Caracciolo appeared in court on Aug. 13 in a separate case, where he was accused of fleeing police on a sport-style motorcycle in downtown Kenosha on July 1. In that case, police said he sped through stop signs, drove the wrong way on a one-way street, and reached speeds over 60 mph before officers later found the motorcycle at his home.

When Caracciolo was released on a $7,500 cash bond for the fleeing case, he signed a condition stating he could not drive without a valid license. Prosecutors say he violated that condition less than 24 hours later.

If convicted of felony bail jumping, Caracciolo faces up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine, in addition to the penalties tied to his original fleeing charge.
