KENOSHA, Wis. — Washington Municipal Golf Course will wrap its 2025 season on Sunday, Nov. 2, capping a year that saw revenue rise about 5% over 2024 and group outings hit a new high, city officials said. The course also completed its second full season selling season passes as it continued to build on momentum from special events like the “Magic at Muni,” which has helped bring new visitors while reconnecting returning golfers before next spring.
This year was the second of Washington Municipal’s partnership with First Tee and Kenosha County to provide youth golf instruction and training. Participation in the program continued to grow, expanding access to the sport and introducing more young players to the game. Looking ahead to 2026, Parks Director Katie Elder said that, pending funding, the city is planning creek stabilization, path repairs, and irrigation system upgrades across the course.
The course is slated to reopen in early April 2026, weather permitting, with updates to be posted on the City of Kenosha’s website and social media.
