KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha teen accused of sexually assaulting 5-year-old Zhariyah Robinson has been released from jail after posting a $10,000 cash bond, just one day after a judge rejected his attorney’s request for a speedy trial.
Seventeen-year-old Dakari S.D. Childress is charged with first-degree child sexual assault, a Class B felony that carries a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison. The charge stems from an incident that allegedly took place on August 22, 2023, at his mother’s home on 28th Avenue in Kenosha.

The bail had to be lowered by the previous judge because of speedy jury constitutional reasons.
