KENOSHA, Wis. — A major crash scene that shut down an area near 60th Street and 20th Avenue Sunday escalated into a fatal investigation after a motorcycle rider was killed and a 66-year-old Kenosha man was taken into custody on suspicion of intoxicated driving offenses.

Archie Lee Heath Sr., 66, of Kenosha, was booked Sunday evening on suspicion of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle, according to jail records reviewed by Kenosha County Eye.

The crash scene drew a large law enforcement and emergency response. Emergency radio traffic indicated Flight For Life was requested, and dispatch traffic also referenced a Medical Examiner response. Kenosha County Eye observed what appeared to be detectives and evidence technicians at the scene, along with a response consistent with a Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) activation.

According to information obtained by KCE, investigators believe Heath allegedly pulled out in front of a motorcycle, leading to the collision.

Investigators later said the crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. near 60th Street and 19th Avenue. According to the Kenosha Police Department, officers arrived to find two people in the roadway while bystanders were already attempting to provide medical aid. Police said the woman killed in the crash was a 38-year-old Kenosha resident. Authorities also identified the second motorcycle occupant as a 41-year-old Kenosha man, who was transported by Flight For Life to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition. Police further stated that investigators believe Heath committed a traffic violation that led to the collision.

The female motorcycle passenger or rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Information available to KCE indicated there may have been a second victim involved in the crash. The condition of the male victim had not been released as of publication.

Heath had not formally been charged as of Sunday night. A booking record showed him being held as a newly charged inmate after his arrest by the Kenosha Police Department.

A review of readily available records by KCE did not reveal an obvious criminal history for Heath.

Because formal charges have not yet been filed, details of the allegations may change as investigators continue reviewing evidence and witness statements. Heath is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Information has been added due to a recent press release from the Kenosha Police Department.

    1. No he’s just so quick to try & post he doesn’t care if the story is correct example towards the end of the story, it says wasn’t sure if it was a second victim. When clearly it is due to the male going flight for life. 🤔

        1. You came all the way here to point out your ignorance. You are some kind of special aren’t ya. LOL Educate yourself.

    1. The driver was of the motorcycle was going very fast, I actually witnessed it, they have to slow down & follow road rules as well. Helmets saved lives. Just a very sad situation!

  2. GOD BLESS U ALL JESUS IS KING AND HE LOVES U AND DIED FOR YOU SO PLEASE CARE ABOUT HIS CHILDEREN LOVE YOU ALL

    1. What people do not realize is that this could have happen to any one of us. someone could have just a simple glass of wine or a beer and be legally intoxicated. And if we leave somewhere and drive home, and this unfortunate event happens, Guess what, we will go to prison.

    2. I can’t believe motorcycle drivers still speed & leave helmets at the store, we call them organ donors

        1. So is death, how many riders die from not wearing a helmet? Who’s at fault honestly? So yes you definitely choose if you want to wear them or not

  3. I have said this before… Why do I have this sinking feeling I am going to be killed while riding my bike in Kenosha?

      1. You sound like an attention seeker, I doubt you ride anything other than the bus. With this 1980’s sitcom comment.. If you do own a motorcycle sell it & start a college fund loser

        1
        3
        1. Yeah i’m totally attention seeking posting anonymously. You’re the loser that thinks you should save the pay for your child’s college. Sorry, i’m not gonna waste my money there. I just have a savings for them.

          1. Of course you do, they’ll grow up to have the same dumb ass mentality as you. You are dead beat. You go around getting a “my woman” as you call her pregnant. But can’t afford her to be a wife. With a non existent savings account. I guess that’s going to be the bare minimum child support payment. Do them a favor ride without a helmet. A step dad will benefit them better.

  4. It’s interesting because we have almost been taken out by cars pulling out in front of us while riding our motorcycle in this exact same stretch of 60th street. In my honest opinion, it appears that they intentionally pull out in front of people riding motorcycles, especially Harleys.

    3

  5. I hope/expect that Harley driver is thoroughly alcohol/drug tested, because almost 100% positive they were under the influence as well.

      1. Speed was definitely a factor in this case. That’s how you know, I’m sure the police reviewed camera footage after plenty witnesses stated what happened.

    1. They weren’t, you don’t know the 2 ppl well enough to even know for sure. They were sober. Your not well educated enough to actually understand that maybe it WAS just the guy in the car.

      1. Go cry to someone else. Maybe he can sleep better knowing he killed his passenger speeding and taking risks.

        2
        1
      2. He definitely has to live with the fact that he didn’t make his passenger wear a helmet while his cool ass speeds down the street on a busy holiday street. So he judgement had to be impaired. Let’s see how long before he has another women on the back of motorcycle. I give it less than 6 months

        2
        0
        1. You should be ashamed of yourself for making a comment like that while a woman just lost her life and another person is fighting to survive. This wasn’t gossip or entertainment — this was someone’s real life, someone deeply loved by her family, friends, and by the man who was with her.

If he survives, he has to live every single day knowing the woman he loved died beside him because of a drunk driver. And your first thought is making some cold-hearted prediction about another girl on his bike? That says far more about your character than it ever could about their relationship.

They loved each other for years. Maybe show a little humanity and respect instead of trying to turn someone’s tragedy into a disgusting comment section joke.
