KENOSHA, Wis. — A major crash scene that shut down an area near 60th Street and 20th Avenue Sunday escalated into a fatal investigation after a motorcycle rider was killed and a 66-year-old Kenosha man was taken into custody on suspicion of intoxicated driving offenses.

Archie Lee Heath Sr., 66, of Kenosha, was booked Sunday evening on suspicion of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle, according to jail records reviewed by Kenosha County Eye.
The crash scene drew a large law enforcement and emergency response. Emergency radio traffic indicated Flight For Life was requested, and dispatch traffic also referenced a Medical Examiner response. Kenosha County Eye observed what appeared to be detectives and evidence technicians at the scene, along with a response consistent with a Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) activation.

According to information obtained by KCE, investigators believe Heath allegedly pulled out in front of a motorcycle, leading to the collision.
The female motorcycle passenger or rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Information available to KCE indicated there may have been a second victim involved in the crash. The condition of the male victim had not been released as of publication.
Heath had not formally been charged as of Sunday night. A booking record showed him being held as a newly charged inmate after his arrest by the Kenosha Police Department.

A review of readily available records by KCE did not reveal an obvious criminal history for Heath.
Because formal charges have not yet been filed, details of the allegations may change as investigators continue reviewing evidence and witness statements. Heath is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
