Body Cam Footage Contradicts Kenosha Activist’s Claims of Police Misconduct

Ronnie D. Orr, Jr (37) Getting In Police Officer’s Face And Yelling
(Kenosha Police)

Kenosha, Wis. – Newly released body cam footage obtained by KCE from the Kenosha Police Department (KPD) directly contradicts the claims made by self-described activist Ronnie D. Orr Jr., also known as “Ron Dean” on social media, regarding his recent arrest.

Paid Advertisement

Orr, 37, was taken into custody early Sunday morning outside Tavern on 6th for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Following the arrest, he launched a social media campaign, alleging excessive force and racial discrimination by law enforcement officers, including a Black officer involved in the arrest. However, the full body cam footage tells a different story—one that aligns with police reports and witness accounts rather than Orr’s inflammatory accusations.

Incident Overview

Police responded to a call at Tavern on 6th shortly after midnight after a woman accused Orr of repeatedly touching her hips inappropriately without her consent. Upon arrival, officers attempted to speak with Orr, who became agitated and uncooperative, escalating the situation. Body cam footage shows officers giving him multiple chances to comply before resorting to force to detain him.

Despite this, Orr selectively posted a short portion of a video clip on social media, attempting to paint himself as a victim. He wrote, “One of many videos that will be used to show obsessive (sic) force bullying and threats being made with literally no right crime committed or warrant for arrest legit bullied for drinking while black.” He further claimed, “Was falsely accused and arrested tonight all on camera KPD and the mf who did this count your days dead ass you can’t fear me into anything I’m not the one to play with see you in court and def suing you mf.” Body cam videos also seem to show veiled threats from Orr to officers. Orr has promised to sue not only Kenosha Police, but KCE also.

False Narrative Exposed

The body cam footage refutes Orr’s claims that he was unfairly targeted or mistreated. Instead, it shows officers responding to a legitimate complaint and following proper protocol. The footage also reveals that Orr resisted officers from the start, ignoring commands and escalating tensions. Police endured almost 30 minutes of verbal abuse and disorderly conduct before finally arresting Orr, the videos show.

Despite his online claims of victimization, Orr’s own words betray his intent to stoke outrage. In various posts, he stated, “Not to mention one cop made this personal when he said he remembers me from 2020 and then asked if I remembered him… sounds like you had a motive and went for the kill.” He also made racially charged remarks against the Black officer involved, stating, “The more I see the black cop is a pon and a pos, ‘you do what you’re told boy.’”

Questionable Supporters and Contradictions

Orr’s allies, many with their own criminal backgrounds, have taken to social media to back his claims. One such individual, Trion Brown, a multiple-time convicted criminal, falsely claimed to be the manager of the bar that night, only to later refute that statement. Brown, who was cited for “Affirmative Duty to Law Enforcement” for failing to cooperate with police, also made unverified claims about the incident. He alleged, “Also to the people that are thinking what happens before the video starts? Literally nothing. 4 cops surrounding Ron Dean while he’s talking to them, and they simply didn’t like what he was saying and placed him under arrest.”

Paid Advertisement

Another supporter, Joel Trudell, who has also been publicly arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, contributed to the narrative by stating, “Where’s the good cop?” to which Orr responded, “There are none.” Orr’s friend Johnny Franchino added to the speculation, writing, “A lot of times the black (police officers) can be even worse because they try to ‘prove themselves’ to their white colleagues. SMFH. Never should’ve had to go through this bro!”

Bar Manager Cited for Non-Cooperation

Further complicating matters, Brown initially claimed he was the manager of Tavern on 6th but later retracted his statement. Due to his actions that night, he was cited for failing to assist law enforcement during the investigation—a requirement for liquor license holders under local law.

The Truth Behind the Arrest

The body cam footage and police reports make it clear that Orr’s arrest was not the result of racial profiling or excessive force, but rather his own actions. His selective editing of footage and inflammatory rhetoric are part of a broader pattern of manipulation, one that he has employed repeatedly to evade accountability.

With his lengthy criminal history—including past arrests for domestic violence, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest—Orr has consistently positioned himself as a victim while disregarding the consequences of his actions.

The Kenosha District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case for potential charges. Meanwhile, the full body cam footage serves as irrefutable evidence that Orr’s latest claims are nothing more than another attempt to deflect responsibility.

KCE will continue to monitor this case and provide updates as new developments emerge. The first video is a compilation, the other videos are unedited by KCE.

Definitely would not want to be a police officer in today’s society. Democrats armed these people to think they are all above the law. Nice work KPD for keeping trash like this off the streets.

  4. It appears that there is a consistent pattern with Ronnie, as evidenced by pictures dating back to 2020 showing him yelling in officers faces. This behavior seems to persist today. At what point will there be accountability to address and hold him responsible for his actions? Mr. DeBruin was quite active in taking pictures during the riots. Keep up the great work; it’s always a pleasure seeing your photographs.
