SOMERS, Wis. – A 68-year-old man is being held on $200,000 cash bail after he was charged Tuesday with multiple counts of sexually assaulting two young girls over a span of several years at a mobile home park in the Town of Somers.

Charles E. White, of Hillcrest Mobile Home Park, faces two felony charges: first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13 and repeated sexual assault of the same child. If convicted on both counts, he faces up to 100 years in prison and possible lifetime supervision.
The investigation began Saturday after a 7-year-old girl told her father that White had previously touched her inappropriately. Her mother later acknowledged the child had said something similar weeks earlier, but the parents had initially dismissed the comments.
Deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and spoke with the girl, who described being touched on multiple occasions while at White’s home for Sunday visits, where he would make her macaroni and cheese and let her watch movies. She said the last incident occurred sometime in late 2024.
When asked further, the girl said her 13-year-old sister had also been assaulted. That sister later described years of abuse that began when she was just seven years old. According to the criminal complaint, the older girl has spina bifida and limited feeling below the waist. She told investigators that White would have her lie in bed with him while he put on movies—sometimes romantic comedies—and would then expose himself and touch her beneath her clothes. She could not confirm whether he ever penetrated her due to her medical condition, but said the abuse happened nearly every Sunday for two years.
The girl also said White gave her gifts and money and made her feel “special” by complimenting her and comparing their childhood medical struggles. She described being afraid to tell anyone because White often warned her to keep it a secret and kept a gun in his closet, which made her feel unsafe.
Another girl mentioned in the complaint denied being assaulted but described White as “weird” and overly focused on the older sister.
Deputies interviewed White, who initially denied knowing the children, then admitted to making food for them and letting them watch movies in his bedroom. He denied any inappropriate contact but gave inconsistent answers throughout the interview. At one point, he reportedly said his life was over and suggested he might harm himself.
At Tuesday’s court appearance, Assistant District Attorney Carlie O’Donnell requested a high bond due to the seriousness of the allegations. Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered $200,000 cash bail.
A preliminary hearing is set for July 2.

well the father of these children was friends with this mann for years upon years worked together actually worked for my father i’m a 32 year old woman and was also touched by him but never said anything until now
