KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. — Four men from Kenosha County were among 27 arrested in a recent human trafficking suppression operation conducted by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Gurnee, Illinois.
The two-day operation, led by the Lake County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Group (SIG), focused on curbing the demand for commercial sex — a driving force behind human trafficking. Undercover officers posed as sex workers using online classified ads. When suspects arrived at a Gurnee-area hotel and allegedly offered money for sex, they were arrested and taken to the Lake County Jail.
Among those arrested were:
- John Garcia, 53, of the 4800 block of 85th Street in Kenosha
- Adam S.W. Porwit, 26, of the 32000 block of 120th Street in Twin Lakes
- Daniel Corona, 29, of the 8400 block of 82nd Street in Pleasant Prairie
- Mathew Reynolds, 23, of the 10000 block of Seasons Place in Pleasant Prairie
.
Each man was charged with one count of soliciting a sexual act, a misdemeanor in Illinois. All were processed and released pending a future court date.
Lake County Sheriff John D. Idleburg said the operation is part of an ongoing strategy to disrupt the human trafficking ecosystem by targeting buyers.
“These operations are about protecting victims and holding sex buyers accountable,” Idleburg said in a statement. “If there is no buyer, there is no market.”
While some perceive prostitution as a victimless crime, the sheriff’s office noted that many individuals being sold for sex are victims of coercion, manipulation, or outright force, and are often exploited for financial gain by traffickers.
Two of the 27 arrests involved suspects who allegedly resisted arrest. One incident resulted in an officer injury, and another led to property damage inside the hotel. The four Kenosha County men were not involved in those incidents.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Gurnee Police Department and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) for their assistance during the operation.

Kyle sounds like the guy who Westosha Central allowed to prance around the girls locker room naked “putting lotion on his johnson”. Why were there no charges filed against the teacher and administration who allowed this to happen? What High school did Bollendorf and Kmiec go to? LOL
It’s the tiny hat crew
Porwits always been odd on the spectrum but wow

Castrate them as they show up to the motel. Kind of like they do with cats.
Bubba will take care of them in prison. Karmic wheel, ugly undocumented turds
Human trafficking? That’s a bit of an “upsell.”
So being a “John” makes you a human trafficker?
I don’t think so
