KENOSHA, Wis. — A 28-year-old Kenosha man already jailed on multiple charges stemming from an alleged August 9 attempted break-in at his ex-girlfriend’s home is now facing new felony counts for intimidation of a victim and stalking, along with additional bail jumping charges.
Jonah D. Ross appeared in court Friday, where Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered $10,000 cash bail on the fresh case. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 19, 2025.
According to the criminal complaint, Ross contacted the same woman on Aug. 10 despite no-contact orders in two active cases. Investigators say he used multiple phone numbers and “No Caller ID” calls to repeatedly ring her phone over a nine-and-a-half-hour period, sending texts that alternated between pleading messages and threats. The woman told police she was distressed and had never given Ross permission to reach out.
Ross is charged with felony intimidation of a victim, stalking after a prior domestic abuse conviction, felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping. Each felony charge carries a potential sentence ranging from three-and-a-half to ten years in prison, with penalties enhanced due to his status as a repeater.
The new allegations come just days after Ross was charged in a separate case with nine counts, including attempted burglary and multiple bail jumping charges, for allegedly forcing his way toward the woman’s home the day before.
