Poor kids
Yes, it’s a shame they can’t be taken away, and held until the court date. This is no better than leaving an animal on a leash in the backyard during a snowstorm, the law would allow the police to bring that animal to a shelter immediately. At least if the owner refused to do anything other than talk through a window.
“She said” she was assaulted; “he said” she’s doing drugs. The kids are the real sufferers.
