KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha man facing multiple serious felony charges related to the alleged long-term abuse of a child has been released from custody after posting a $50,000 cash bail. Court records show Greg R. Douma, 58, was released at 11:13 a.m. today and returned to his home shortly after.

Douma is accused of repeated sexual assault of a child, multiple counts of first-degree child sexual assault, and incest. If convicted, the charges carry a combined potential maximum sentence of up to 280 years in prison. He has not yet been convicted and remains presumed innocent under the law.
However, according to the criminal complaint, after being read his Miranda rights during a recorded interview with Pleasant Prairie Police, Douma admitted to the conduct described by the minor, stating the child’s description was accurate and acknowledging the behavior took place repeatedly over several years.
The allegations outlined in the complaint describe conduct prosecutors say occurred over several years while the child was living in the same residence. All alleged incidents took place at Douma’s home located at 9127 39th Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin 53142, which appears in the filed public charging documents.
Douma posted bail set by Liberal Activist Supplemental Court Commissioner Tracey Braun during Monday’s hearing. Multiple law-enforcement sources have privately described the bond as unusually low given the nature of the charges, length of the alleged conduct, and documented admissions contained in the complaint.
Since his release this morning, several neighbors have contacted Kenosha County Eye expressing concern and surprise, noting they were unaware he would resume living in the area.
For the sake of transparency and public awareness, Kenosha County Eye—not law enforcement nor the courts—has made the decision to publish Douma’s listed address, which is already publicly available through official court records.
Douma’s next court appearance is scheduled for December 16th, when the court will determine whether sufficient evidence exists to move the case forward.
When reached for comment Tuesday night, Pleasant Prairie Police Chief Dave Smetana had the following to say:
“I’m aware bail was posted and he is out of the county jail. Compared to other cases where bail is required, it seems that 50k cash is a substantial amount to raise.
I am hopeful that the judge or commissioner took all the relevant facts into account when setting that amount. Those facts including ensuring future court appearances and the threat risk to the public.
Any violations of the bond restrictions will be investigated by law enforcement and referred to the DA’s office for what I hope would be aggressive prosecution of those new charges and the cash bond being revoked and forfeited.”
Kenosha County Eye will continue to follow developments in this case as they occur.

I don’t understand how he was able to return home if he’s not allowed to have contact with any minors? Isn’t this the guy who is/ was very active in the foster community?!
The lakemchenryscanner.com website has more detail on the disgusting crimes and report of Douma’s willing confession. He should NOT be out of jail. Read what he confessed to, multiple times over a 6 year period. The child is now 13. Douma worked or volunteered as security for youth programs at a church in Winthrop Harbor, IL.
Best case, he offs himself at his earliest opportunity. But he should not be free. Ever.
Douma also did church camps every summer for over 20 years. For a church on 63rd St in Kenosha. His in-laws are the pastors. He confessed to them everything and then had service about it on Sunday!! Talk about messed up. There has got to be more victims.
His in-laws are no longer affiliated with that church and haven’t been for a long time now.
I am OK with this. Hopefully he does the right thing and takes a gun and opens his mouth. Problem solved.
Lock him up with the pedo school shooter. Let them kill each other.
They should have made him stay at the Value Inn with the rest of the sex offenders. Do people know that they are paroled to the Value Inn in Pleasant Prairie/Kenosha. If they did I’m sure they would not feel comfortable having their teens working in those fast food restaurants. Or how about the people that stay there or at the surrounding hotels/motels from out of town not knowing that is where multiple sex offenders and parolees are located. How scary. At least you know that the guy is next door and what he is and you can watch out for him.
firing squad-today!
Are you advocating this for our Pedo-in-Chief Donald Trump?
Nope, just this pedo. But keep thinking about your President- it’s good for you 😉
TDS is real, this loser is proof.
Question is when does he get hired by KUSD?
You might want to dig into the school they opened in Haiti. I’m guessing this is not his only victim. I think it’s worth looking into.
“ Douma was an elder at The Point in Winthrop Harbor where he served with the church’s AIM children’s ministry doing security”
Horrible
