KENOSHA, Wis. — Kenosha police say they are actively searching for former Kenosha Unified School District administrator Curtiss W. Tolefree Jr., 48, of Kenosha, after detectives developed probable cause to arrest him in a new sexual assault investigation.
According to the Kenosha Police Department, officers began investigating a report of sexual assault on February 21, 2026. The case was immediately assigned to the department’s Sensitive Crimes Unit, which conducted what officials described as an extensive investigation.
Detectives say the investigation has led them to seek the arrest of Tolefree on a charge of second-degree sexual assault. Authorities allege the case involves sexual contact or sexual intercourse with a person who suffers from a mental illness or deficiency.
Police are now asking the public for help locating Tolefree.
He is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall and about 245 pounds, bald, with brown eyes. Investigators say he has numerous ties to the Kenosha community.
If members of the public see Tolefree, they are urged to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Bray of the Kenosha Police Department at 262-605-5269, or call the department’s non-emergency lines at 262-605-5203 or 262-656-1234.
The new investigation comes months after a previous criminal case against Tolefree was dismissed in Kenosha County. In October 2025, a judge granted a motion by prosecutors to dismiss charges stemming from allegations involving a student dating back to the 2008–2009 school year when Tolefree worked as Dean of Students at Mary D. Bradford High School. The case was dismissed without prejudice after prosecutors cited witness-availability issues.
Authorities have not released further details about the alleged incident in the current investigation.

The incident at Bradford, wasn’t there one at Washington and now this he should be captured and held without bail. There are pedophiles out there that get away with what they do and with repercussions that they are given they majority get leniency, in which isn’t right.
