PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. — A controversial Pleasant Prairie man with a long history of lawsuits and prior criminal cases was charged Friday with felony child abuse after authorities say he physically assaulted a child inside a home in the village. Despite the seriousness of the allegation, Court Commissioner William “Bargain Bail Billy” Michel II allowed the defendant to walk out of court without paying any money.
While Kenosha County Eye frequently receives notifications when certain individuals are arrested, Valenta’s arrest generated multiple alerts from different sources. A review of court records shows that Valenta has been involved in numerous civil lawsuits filed by private residents, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, and at least one plumbing supply company, among others.
