A local business owner, Nathan M. Lawler, 43, of Bristol, WI, is being accused by police and prosecutors of driving with a blood alcohol content of more than twice the legal limit. This would be Lawler’s first OWI and Wisconsin is the only state that doesn’t charge first OWI as a crime. Lawler, however is being charged with a misdemeanor, because police say his three-year-old child was in the car with him while he was driving drunk.

On July 25, 2023 at approximately 9:09pm, a Pleasant Prairie Police Officer witnessed Lawler driving on Old Green Bay Rd in the Village of Pleasant Prairie. According to the officer, both of Lawler’s drivers’ side tires crossed the center lane. The Officer stopped Lawler after he allegedly committed a second traffic infraction. The Officer saw the young child in the car and noticed that Lawler’s eyes were red and glassy. He could also smell an odor of alcoholic beverages from the vehicle. Lawler denied having anything to drink. Lawler agreed to standardized field sobriety testing. He did poorly on all three tests. He then agreed to a preliminary breath test which registered .166, or more than double the legal limit. According to the criminal complaint, police had his blood tested also.

  1. I like articles that don’t target hard working guys that provide jobs and services to people even if they fuck up for the first time. No, I don’t advocate drunk driving or bad parents that drive drunk with kids.

Please report on all the people that blow through multiple stop signs daily going East/West under I-94 @ highway C – 93rd street. There are accidents all of the time there and never a deputy or sting to bust all these pieces of shit going 50 mph through those intersections. Where is Zoerner on this?

    Thanks.

    1. Gee, maybe it was dumb of them to randomly put some fucking stop signs up there suddenly one day with no other signage indicating they are new…..fucktard.

        1. Wait until you or your family gets T boned there. Stupid Twat advocates for not stopping at 4 way stops, what a complete dumb fuck.

    2. People convicted of a crime don’t get a free pass because they are an “upstanding” member of the community. He’s not the President’s son!!!

  2. Don’t ever refuse a breath test when arrested for OWI. Provide the test, and fight the reason for the traffic stop or the treason to perform field sobriety in court. If you refuse, your license or automatically revoked, and you will not get an occupational license. Way better showing your actual BAC and fighting the legality of the stop in court sober. Drive safely, everyone.

    1. Is there something in writing that shows some legality in that advice about taking the test vs not taking the test? I’m genuinely curious.

  3. It never ceases to amaze me that some people can’t speak without swearing, but what amazes me more is they can’t message without swearing either.
Even if they have a good point it negates it. I’m sure that they will respond with more swearing which will make my point even more.

  4. Never consent to ANY test when stopped and suspected of DUI. All of that will be used against you in court. You can still fight the actual stop, don’t give them any ammo to use against you. Ask any lawyer and they’ll tell you never consent to breathalyzer or field sobriety tests.
