Investigation and Findings

The arrests stemmed from cybercrime investigations that uncovered illegal content linked to the suspects’ online accounts. The content included young children engaged in sex acts with adults.

Authorities say Bollow’s case began in November 2024 when police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Investigators traced suspicious activity on a messaging app back to Bollow’s residence. A search of his electronic devices led to the discovery of numerous illegal files, resulting in his arrest.

In Griffiths’ case, investigators were alerted in December 2024 when Dropbox, an online storage service, flagged illegal content uploads. A forensic review of Griffiths’ online history reportedly revealed his involvement in distributing explicit material. Law enforcement later confirmed his direct link to the account and obtained a search warrant for his residence.

Authorities also noted that both suspects had an interest in explicit “furry” content, a subculture that involves anthropomorphic animal characters, as well as bestiality pornography. However, bestiality content was not part of the formal charges in this case.
