Kenosha, Wis. — A 21-year-old Kenosha County woman says she is being harassed by a convicted serial arsonist after sharing one of his Facebook posts in a community thread.

The man at the center of the controversy, 48-year-old Allen M. Dunski, Jr, co-manages the Kenosha County Scanner Facebook page with his partner John Broemelkamp. The page charges subscribers $4.99 per month to view posts, which often summarize local police and fire activity. Dunski has previously claimed—without citing any legal authority—that the details of such reports are his intellectual property and that sharing them is illegal.

According to the woman, whom Kenosha County Eye is identifying as “Madison” to protect her privacy, the situation began when she tried to help someone in her community. “Recently, a concerned citizen asked what had happened in an intersection near me; I found the Kenosha County Scanner post about the accident and commented on it under this concerned citizen’s post,” Madison said. “A few hours later, my comment was deleted, and my parents had a voicemail from Allen on their answering machine.”

The next day, she said the harassment escalated. “I got to work the next morning and had an email from a coworker stating that Allen had called my place of work, presumably to try and get me fired,” she said. “He is asking for my address and saying he’s going to contact his lawyers about my actions.”

Madison said the ordeal has caused her emotional distress. “I am feeling increasingly unsafe and distressed because Allen, a known serial arsonist, has been making threatening calls to my relatives and work,” she said. “His actions are causing significant anxiety and disrupting my daily life. The constant fear and uncertainty of facing legal threats have made me feel vulnerable and on edge as I struggle to understand the reasons behind his threats and how to protect myself from further harassment.”

Dunski’s criminal history is extensive and well documented. He was convicted in 2002 of three felony counts of arson, each involving separate incidents—two vehicles and an RV camper—set ablaze with signal flares. In each case, he returned to the fire station and later responded to the very fires he had started. Dunski was sentenced to 18 months in state prison for the arsons.

Aside from the three felony convictions for arson, Dunski also has a criminal conviction related to a drunken car theft. He was sentenced to an additional six months in jail for his role in the “taking of a vehicle without consent.” He also has other traffic-related arrests on his record.

Dunski was reportedly a person of interest and/or suspect in the historic arson cases involving the burning down of the former Silver Lake Police and Fire Departments. In January 2024, following media exposure of his criminal history, Dunski resigned from the Salem Lakes Fire Commission. The resignation came after the Village President formally requested that he step down.

In February 2025, Governor Tony Evers denied Dunski’s request for a pardon. More recently, Dunski has begun spreading misinformation about competing scanner pages on Facebook. In one case, he shared an image of a 16-year-old daughter of the owner of one such page, raising additional concern among members of the local scanner and public safety community.

Despite these facts, Dunski continues to operate a paid Facebook page focused on local emergency calls—while attempting to prevent others from referencing or sharing that information. The recent incident involving Madison has prompted renewed concern over Dunski’s behavior and his efforts to intimidate members of the community.

  1. The derelicts over at the Poke your Eyeballs Out page just got schooled by the real owner of Scanner Watch.

    1. Yes, but they are all so insane they will continue to push the lies. The same ones over and over. Caputo, Dunski, Balding, poke eyeballs out, etc. speaking the lies and commenting on others when they are the crazies. So Dunceki us calling people’s work places trying to get people fired? Exactly what him and Balding accused others of. Birds of a feather…loons.

      1. Imagine an entire page dedicated to one person… All the contributors are convicts, arsonists, drug addicts, compulsive liars, abusers, each with a record of their own…

    2. It’s funny how the eyeballs page and her followers, including her, constantly point out what others do, as they do the same. Oh, he blocks people on his page or deletes comments. There’s the eyeball deleting comments. There’s Dunski always deleting and banning on his scanner page, that is supporting him, while he complains about others having scanner pages. They have brought a poor 16 old girl into their circle of insanity, posting her picture while accusing others of posting minors. They accuse people of being someone they are not, make up awards for something they claim occurred, post video and were wrong. Their little group is like the circle of bullies you see in school, same mentality, except from adults. And some have kids, imagine what they are teaching them. The eyeball was created to bully and it’s the same circle of people doing it. It’s quite obvious what these people are like in their daily life if this is what they do. And then to call people’s family or workplace, it’s what these same people accuse others of doing. What’s the point of any of it? Just because they are shitty people?

  2. There is much documentation regarding arsonists as having
    problematic pasts of:
    Bed wetting.
    Disrupting classrooms.
    Bullying.
    Torturing small/ defenseless animals.
    Repeated tardiness.
    Inability to perform sexually.
    Premature ejaculation.
    Fear of mature women.
Desire to be applauded/ rewarded for heroic actions.

This is not an all inclusive list and all may not apply
to everybody, nor any one subject in particular.
It’s simply a general observation of a large cross
section of subjects from various institutions
    throughout the years.

If the straitjacket fits, then wear it.

  4. How is his paid fb site different from subscribing to a newspaper? Does anyone think a subscriber is forbidden from sharing the news they read? This guy sounds unhinged.

Looking at the wicourts page, I don’t see PTAC auto theft. Was that an out of state charge?

  5. It would be humorous if someone made a kenoshacountyscannerball website mirroring all of their subscriber only content and hosted it in any number of countries that openly defy all DMCA takedown requests.

Seems like the natural progression of things if this guy is harassing women over reposting a single piece of information.

“Madison’s” parents should call Dunski’s parents and leave a voicemail concerning the conduct of their child.

I appreciate this media outlet being free to all and detest any media outlets that hide behind a paywall. Thank you Kevin

  7. Is this the same individual who posted this soundless video alleging that you, KM, were engaged in an argument with certain relatives? These allegations are false, as the individual identified as KM in the video is not related to you in any way.

  8. Allen Dunski was a topic of conversation when this post first hit facebook. Over coffee, we enumerized all the small accomplishments, ah, events, in his life since jail time. We thought and mentioned all the people who gave a trust to help him in the flooding efforts and the cleanup efforts and at the end we came to the conclusion that he has dismissed that trust and embarrassed them for thinking that bad guys can change. One even brought up how he cheats at softball! Go figure! We agreed for the most part, that those people regret attaching themselves to anything he does. His tru self prevails in this above mentioned stalking and slander effort against a person who paid for information and can basically use it as they wish, which in this case, was to share with the readily available “SHARE” button or copy/paste exercise. The internet is not private and not one’s own. Once placed on the internet, it is free as the wind and just as controllable. Ask any photographer who puts an image on the net. We had a second fill up of coffee, so among us, Allen got a bit of fame. In the end, one of us called him a WEE LITTLE MAN. I kinda like that. It fits. Thanks for reading my take on this.

I hope the girl did reach out to the sheriff. jeopardizing her job is no small act. It was deliberate, took time to execute and tho the result he wanted failed, he wanted it to be successful. Her job has a value. A lifetime value could be at stake, even now. I hope, again, she reports it and her company stands by her side.

  9. Does Wisconsin have an equilivent to Illinois’ Stalking No Contact order? and the criminal laws regarding stranger stalking?

  10. He did the same thing to one of my family members for sharing Kenosha County Eye”s post about him a couple months back. Put her arrest record on his page , harassed people she worked with and told them info about me many years ago on a rescue call when he was a member. I believe this would be a HIPAA violation. I also almost guarantee he burned the firehouse down. He was the first on scene fully dressed with his shoes tied and everything.
