PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. — A 48-year-old Kenosha man, Pablo Cuevas-Pineda, was sentenced Wednesday morning to six months in the Kenosha County Jail for his third drunk-driving offense, following a plea hearing before Judge Heather Iverson.
According to court records, Cuevas-Pineda pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant (third offense). Two additional misdemeanor charges—operating while revoked and failure to install an ignition interlock device—were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
The case stems from a November 15, 2024, traffic stop in the Village of Pleasant Prairie. Officer Haske of the Pleasant Prairie Police Department reported that he observed Cuevas-Pineda driving 46 mph in a 35-mph zone on Springbrook Road around 3:35 a.m. When stopped, Cuevas-Pineda displayed red and glassy eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol. He admitted to consuming alcohol and was found to have a revoked driver’s license in both Wisconsin and Illinois due to prior alcohol-related convictions. Police noted his vehicle did not have the required ignition interlock device installed.
Cuevas-Pineda refused field sobriety testing and a preliminary breath test but later submitted to a blood draw. His prior convictions for drunk driving occurred in Pleasant Prairie in 2011 and in Waukegan, Illinois, in 2006.
Under the sentence imposed Wednesday, Cuevas-Pineda must serve 180 days in the Kenosha County Jail, with one day of credit for time already served. He was ordered to pay a $1,200 fine plus court costs, a $95 prosecution fee, and a $200 DNA surcharge. His driver’s license was revoked for 27 months, and he must complete an alcohol and other drug assessment and install an ignition interlock device once eligible to drive again.
Cuevas-Pineda was taken into custody immediately following the hearing.

He was driving on a revoked license and failed to install the ignition device, so the judge revoked his license and orders him to install an ignition device. Did she avoid rolling her eyes when she said it?
