Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge, The Honorable Anthony Milisauskas graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago School of Law in 1983, and was admitted into the Wisconsin bar in 1984. Judge Milisauskas was born and raised in Kenosha. Judge Milisauskas opened a law office and worked for himself until 2005. From 2001 to 2005, he was a Kenosha County Circuit Court Commissioner and a guardian ad litem. He was also a Somers Municipal Judge from 2000-2005.

Judge Milisauskas was elected in 2005 and has been re-elected ever since. To all criminal defense attorneys KCE spoke with in the Kenosha County area, Judge Milisauskas is a very fair judge and a good jurist during trials. Judge Milisauskas is married and he and his wife have five children.

To most, this photo might just appear to be Judge Milisauskas walking to his car after a long sexual assault trial. There is more to the story, and that is why Judge Milisauskas is today’s Feel-Good Friday. He is generally a nice man and treats prosecutors, defense attorneys, and even criminal defendants with respect and kindness.

I’ve seen the Judge walk many blocks to his car before, many times. “You park far away to get your steps in, judge?” “Nah,” he said back. The reason the judge parked a few blocks away isn’t something he brings up, but I somehow pulled it out of him.

You see, judges get fancy parking spots right near an entrance to the courthouse. They are subject to less snow, rain, sleet and more. Judge Anthony, however doesn’t use his spot. He allows his clerk to use the spot. Why? Becuase she has worked for the courthouse for many decades. He gave up a fancy spot for a hard-working co-worker becuase of her years of dedicated service, while he makes the daily hikes. He chose to do this.

That, is why Judge Tony M, is KCE’s Feel-Good Friday person in Kenosha County.

If you see him, thank him for his many years of service to the County. With Judge Schroeder retired, he is the longest serving judge here in Kenosha.

  1. Next to Judge Schroder, Judge Milisauskas is one of my very favorite people! I have served on a couple of his juries and he is a wonderful human being.

  2. He’s a crotchety old man who needs to retire. I’ve never seen an ounce of kindness’s from this man. He hates his family court rotation and he kicks cases out of his court faster then the people can sit down. There not a single judge in Kenosha any longer who actually cares about family court. It’s a nuisance to them.

      1. Actually no…. Just someone stuck in the rinse and repeat of family court…. If you could comprehend, I never said criminal court, I said family court. But nice try.

    1. what a loathsome thing to say–you sound like a morally repugnant individual, probably wasn’t breastfed as a baby
