A Kenosha multiple felon and sex offender was convicted yesterday of three counts of 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child Under Age 12. He faces a total sentence of 180 years in the Wisconsin Prison System. The Jury of nine men and three women convicted the man after a 2-day trial in which Johnson did not testify in his defense.
Johnson was convicted of a felony sex offense in Alabama in 2010. In 2018, he was found guilty of failing to register as a sex offender in Kenosha County. Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Jodi Meier sentenced Johnson to 18 months in prison. ADA Alexandra Smathers was the prosecutor.
On April 30, 2018, a then-12-year-old girl reported that Johnson had molested her repeatedly. A then-six-year-old made similar allegations. It is unclear why, but Johnson wasn’t charged until August 24, 2022 – three-and-one-half years later. At his initial appearance, former court commissioner Larry Keating gave Johnson a no-cash bail, meaning, he didn’t have to pay any bail and has been free for the almost three-and-a-half years until his bail was finally revoked after his conviction.
KCE watched a small part of the trial in which the victim’s video-recorded interview told a story of horror. She said she often was locked in her room, had her face duct taped, and was sexually assaulted by Johnson.
KCE made contact with the Kenosha Police Department and Kenosha District Attorney’s Office to see what caused the delay in justice. Neither responded.
Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced on October 17th by Judge Angelina Gabriele.

So many psychos..Should castrate the son of bitch..Oh wait he’s the protected class ..
“No charges for being locked in a closet with your mouth duct-taped? Where were the parents? And no cash bail? Given his record as a repeat offender and his failure to register as a sex offender, he should have had a high cash bail!”
