KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. – Free outdoor concerts, yoga classes, and movie nights are all set to return to Kenosha County Parks next week, launching another season of summer entertainment under the sun and stars.
County Executive Samantha Kerkman announced the lineup Thursday, encouraging residents to take advantage of the weekly programming across the county’s scenic park system.
“We’re excited to be back with another summer of outstanding, free programming in our county parks,” Kerkman said.
Two concert series anchor the weekly offerings:
Bristol Woodstock will take place every Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Bristol Woods Park (9800 160th Ave.), with genres ranging from indie and folk to roots rock and country.
Rhythm on the Lake will follow on Thursdays at 6 p.m. at Old Settlers Park (24100 75th St.), featuring a wide mix from classic rock to 80s pop and party rock. Concessions at this series will be provided by the Paddock Lake Lions and Kiwanis Clubs.
Yoga in the Park returns Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Petrifying Springs Park Area #4, hosted by Hot Yoga Kenosha. Participants are invited to bring a mat and enjoy an all-levels class in the serene outdoor setting.
Movie Night in the Park begins Friday, June 20, with a dusk screening of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade near the Biergarten at Petrifying Springs Park. Movies will run every Friday through August 29, including titles like Shrek, Moana 2, and E.T. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks.
For a more meditative experience, Sound Baths by Nerve-Ana will be held monthly from June to October at Petrifying Springs Park’s Area #7, with a special sunrise session scheduled for August 30 at the Kemper Center in Kenosha.
All events are weather dependent, and attendees should check the Kenosha County Parks’ website or Facebook page for any updates before heading out.
