(Kenosha Sex Offender Registry)
KENOSHA, Wis. — If you check the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry today, you’ll find Aaron J. Krause on it. If you look again on June 7, it will be gone. That’s because Judge Angelina Gabriele — who accepted Krause’s guilty plea to a felony sex crime and sentenced him only to probation — recently approved a change allowing him to come off the registry after just three years, with his removal date set for June 7, 2026.

Krause, 38, now of Kenosha, was living in Gurnee, Illinois at the time of the offense when he was charged in November 2022 after investigators uncovered that he had secretly recorded a child’s intimate parts in a bathroom.
According to the criminal complaint, Krause used a hidden recording app and positioned his phone inside a bathroom to capture the teen without her knowledge as she used the room. The video showed the victim entering and later exiting, before Krause returned to retrieve the phone.
Investigators also found a separate image that appeared to be an attempt to photograph the teen’s intimate parts while she was sleeping — conduct that, under Wisconsin law, is a felony.
Police later discovered Krause had searched online about whether deleted videos could be recovered and how search warrants work, suggesting concern about being caught.
When confronted, Krause admitted what he had done, apologized, and called it a “really stupid idea.”
Despite the nature of the offense involving a minor, Gabriele withheld sentence in June 2023 and placed Krause on three years of probation with conditions including a psychosexual evaluation, restitution, and a ban on contact with minors. The court at that time specifically found the offense to be sexually motivated and ordered Krause to register as a sex offender in the interest of public safety.
That decision didn’t hold.
At an April 2, 2026 hearing, Gabriele approved a motion to amend the judgment, limiting the registry requirement to only the term of probation — meaning Krause will be removed from the registry on June 7, 2026.
The move effectively reverses the court’s earlier determination that long-term registry placement was necessary to protect the public, raising questions about how a case once deemed serious enough for that designation is now being scaled back.
Krause had originally been released on a no-cash bail by Liberal Activist Supplemental Court Commissioner Kelly Heckel at his initial appearance.
Krause remains under supervision until his probation ends, but after June 7, his name will no longer appear on Wisconsin’s public sex offender registry.
He still is a convicted felon until and if Governor Tony Evers (D) pardon’s him. He will remain on Kenosha County Eye forever.

… but Judges have way too much power !
Terms of confinement and length of sentences are determined in Madison.
Laws are written and punishment is decided in Madison with “some” leeway given to judges to use at their discretion.
To remove a person from this registry violates the reason it exists in the first place !!
This is historical data that is put in place not just as a penalty but as a deterrent for others to see !
Punishment should be seen and harsh enough to be a deterrent to repeat offenders and offenders who have not yet decided to do those crimes !
This is a question for all legislators.
Amanda ? This is right up your ally !
Can you change the part of the law(s) that give judges power to reverse or remove these types of punishments ?
Sandy ? Ellen ? Is this an issue you are willing to take on ? Be a part of ?
The registry is not punitive, it is an administrative thing. If the registry was punitive, persons on the registry can challenge it under ‘cruel and unusual punishment’. Look at the NARSOL website – it stands for National Association for Rational Sex Offense Laws, it is one of their main points.
The registry is in fact punitive. The public has a right to know who the POS perverts (like this guy) are. There are cases where people are wrongfully charged or convicted. This is not one of those cases. This guy openly admitted to his crimes. I also heard it was his stepdaughter that he raised. Makes me sick. Seeing people like you stick up for POS like this makes me more sick. This is an awfully odd hill for you to stand on.
bros a chud ✌️ ✌️ ✌️
This is ridiculous! He admitted he did it and it was a stupid act! He should remain on the sex offender registration! Who is this judge for? The victim or the criminal?
Evers will be out of office by the time he’s eligible for a pardon. He isn’t eligible until 5 years after completion of sentence. Evers is leaving 2027.
Sex offender can’t receive pardons either.
Angelina Gabriele fell off the old District Attorney tree of Mike Gravely. Kenosha we need to do better!
She was a horrid prosecutor. I watched a guy go to jail for a ‘he-said,she’said’ that was obvious bull, and another dude’s case fall apart because of her incompetence. She’s not very good.
Maybe someone will do the community a favor and he will be off the registry for a different reason.
He a mother’s son.
Don’t wish that on anyone.
Concentrate on the problem.
Not the person who works the system.
K snowflake, go say some prayers for him.
Child predators deserve death… why not wish that..
He’ll never get away from this article though..
I think it’s crazy that dude went from somewhat normal looking to rolling with a full pedo look. I hope enough people see this that they see him for the real him now.
