A Colorado woman was arrested Saturday for battery at a Carthage College football game. Kenosha Police were summoned at 3:49 pm on Saturday to a report of a battery. Witnesses say 52-year-old Courtney L. Ludwig was taunting the opposing team during the game. After the game, she was fired up and incessantly ringing a cowbell.
A player from the opposing team, Carrol College, approached the woman and asked her to stop taunting his team. She then hit the college-aged student with the cowbell. Moments after, police were called. Kenosha Police gave the woman a break and only cited her. They could have asked the Kenosha County DA to charge her criminally.

According to a witness who was present, the college’s new athletic director, Ryan Kane witnessed the battery, but didn’t take action or attempt to intervene in any way. The witness thinks that Kane should have tried to deescalate the situation.
KCE emailed Kane early Tuesday and didn’t receive a return email.
It is unknown if the woman received any direction from Christopher Walken before the battery occurred.

Carthage football has had a bad culture since Coach Hass became the head coach, his staff recruits football players who make poor decisions on/off the field, not a shock this women is a parent of a Carthage Football player. The apple never falls far from the tree. Assaults seems to be a theme with Carthage Football team. There is an Instagram page by female Carthage students crying out for help and safety on campus. According to the Instagram page “Students Against SA at Carthage” the Football staff knew of rape on campus by a football player and the payer was still allowed to be on campus and play. Where is Athletics Director Ryan Kane and President Swallow, these female students have been protesting with signs begging for help for weeks.
I can picture her wearing a cowbell, but that doesn’t give her the excuse to hit someone with it.
What kind of football player asks an opposing fan to stop taunting his team? Must have been a kicker.
