There has been a lot of bad press for KTEC lately. Still, of course, there are many good teachers, administrators, students and parents at the school.
One, especially is a man named Joshua Dean Vaughn. Another parent nominated Josh for today’s Feel-Good Friday but wished to stay anonymous. Neither she nor KCE knew this man’s name. A quick check on Facebook, we received many messages from KTEC parents who were quick to praise Josh.
“He crosses my kids and I everyday and he is the kindest! Always greeting each and every kid with a ‘good morning’ or ‘have a good day’,” said one KTEC mom.
“He’s amazing,” said another mom.
“He is amazing and so nice. I think it’s nice of him to be there while the gym teachers and the assistant principal stand by the other doors,” said another KTEC parent.
Every day, Josh is out at the corner of 56th St and 32nd Ave helping 4 through 14-year-olds cross the street – always with a smile.
KCE is told that Josh also regularly volunteers at lunch time.
Thank you, Josh, for your kindness and thoughtfulness.

For someone like this,
just acknowledgment like this is enough.
I’m sure the smiles he receives from parents, children and drivers are his reward each day !

Way to go Josh!!!!
Buy this guy a vest! Hi-vis safety black don’t cut it 🤣
Good 4 this guy and the kids! Cheedarheads NEVER stop at crosswalks —- it’s NEVER been enforced in the Wisco
He should get some hi-vis tats! Maybe a big STOP sign!
Thank you for being an awesome human, Josh!
He is a awesome! He and his wife do a lot for the school!
If Josh wore a fedora—- Snoopy’s brother SPIKE 😂🤣😂
Yes give him credit, he’s putting his life at risk every day. Wow I don’t miss those pick up and drop off lines there.
You have an area not designed for that kind of traffic, all the kids other than those who walk have to be driven since it’s a charter. It’s dangerous and since 50 percent of parents seem to be asshats it makes it that much worse! My wife lost a mirror one day sitting there waiting and the guy stopped and said it’s not my fault the street is narrow and took off.
Maybe they can relocate to one of the schools that is closing? And not give Enwright and Hodges the new address?
Glad to have him there! Some people like to stop on the crosswalk while kids are trying to cross and he has pretty much stopped that from continuing to happen! Thank you Josh!
